Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.47% to hit a new 6-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.31% or 0.160 points to trade at 5.000 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) added 2.35% or 0.59 points to end at 25.74 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was up 1.94% or 0.65 points to 34.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 1.09% or 0.34 points to trade at 30.75 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 0.86% or 0.23 points to end at 26.65 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 0.59% or 0.20 points to 33.42.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 120 to 50 and 24 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 2.26% or 1.04 to $45.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.56% or 1.13 to hit $43.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.31% or 4.10 to trade at $1327.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.08% to 1.0985, while EUR/GBP fell 0.23% to 0.8361.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 97.36.
