Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.39% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1), which rose 1.98% or 0.074 points to trade at 3.816 at the close. Meanwhile, Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) added 1.72% or 0.52 points to end at 30.70 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FUM1V) was up 1.39% or 0.20 points to 14.61 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which fell 3.26% or 0.168 points to trade at 4.982 at the close. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 1.61% or 0.56 points to end at 34.13 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was down 1.20% or 0.33 points to 27.14.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 76 to 63 and 15 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.11% or 0.06 to $55.15 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.34% or 0.18 to hit $53.13 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.36% or 4.10 to trade at $1141.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.0442, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.8410.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 102.75.
