Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.29%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA), which rose 1.42% or 0.48 points to trade at 34.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.17% or 0.058 points to end at 5.010 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 1.07% or 0.55 points to 52.15 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 1.16% or 0.58 points to trade at 49.62 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.68% or 0.09 points to end at 13.11 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 0.56% or 0.12 points to 21.37.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 84 to 51 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) rose to 5-year highs; rising 1.07% or 0.55 to 52.15.
Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.94% or 0.52 to $55.76 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 1.19% or 0.62 to hit $52.86 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.45 to trade at $1256.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.10% to 1.0602, while EUR/GBP fell 0.30% to 0.8539.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 100.92.
