Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.18% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV), which rose 5.99% or 2.59 points to trade at 45.85 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 3.31% or 0.150 points to end at 4.680 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 3.16% or 0.80 points to 26.13 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 9.03% or 3.65 points to trade at 36.76 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 3.73% or 0.2450 points to end at 6.3250 and Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) was down 2.36% or 0.74 points to 30.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 111 to 64 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in Kesko Oyj B (HE:KESBV) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 5.99% or 2.59 to 45.85.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 1.38% or 0.70 to $50.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.10% or 0.55 to hit $49.41 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.41% or 5.25 to trade at $1268.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.24% to 1.0915, while EUR/GBP fell 0.15% to 0.8921.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 98.56.
