Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.01% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.83% or 0.2700 points to trade at 9.7950 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 0.99% or 0.110 points to end at 11.210 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 0.77% or 0.038 points to 4.978 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 1.92% or 0.94 points to trade at 48.03 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.87% or 0.120 points to end at 6.305 and Konecranes Abp (HE:KCRA) was down 0.67% or 0.23 points to 33.95.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 72 to 67 and 14 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.96% or 0.53 to $55.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 1.01% or 0.53 to hit $53.14 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.57% or 7.05 to trade at $1225.85 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.41% to 1.0549, while EUR/GBP rose 0.58% to 0.8617.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 101.96.
