Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Telecoms, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM), which rose 3.15% or 2.55 points to trade at 83.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) added 2.55% or 0.06 points to end at 2.49 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 2.50% or 0.09 points to 3.52 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which fell 2.65% or 0.90 points to trade at 33.05 at the close. Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) declined 1.53% or 0.26 points to end at 16.79 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 1.19% or 0.18 points to 14.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 82 to 79 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.55% or 0.06 to 2.49.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.94% or 0.79 to $85.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.05% or 0.85 to hit $81.58 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 10.50 to trade at $2,341.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.38% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 105.17.
