Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Oil & Gas and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.06% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which rose 1.24% or 0.135 points to trade at 11.025 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.20% or 0.40 points to end at 33.71 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.82% or 0.31 points to 38.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which fell 2.40% or 0.60 points to trade at 24.43 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.67% or 0.0650 points to end at 3.8350 and YIT Oyj (HE:YIT) was down 1.05% or 0.06 points to 5.64.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 83 to 68 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.20% or 0.40 to 33.71.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.03% or 0.02 to $61.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.10% or 0.05 to hit $52.31 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.19% or 2.40 to trade at $1289.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.26% to 1.1511, while EUR/GBP fell 0.01% to 0.9022.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 95.032.
