Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.25%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 3.85% or 420 points to trade at 11330 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) added 3.31% or 380 points to end at 11860 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was up 2.92% or 10.0 points to 352.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG), which fell 1.31% or 3.40 points to trade at 256.10 at the close. Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) declined 0.90% or 2.6 points to end at 285.4 and William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) was down 0.48% or 0.6 points to 123.5.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 76 to 45 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.92% or 10.0 to 352.5.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.04% or 0.02 to $53.20 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.11% or 0.06 to hit $55.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 1.32% or 15.95 to trade at $1194.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.05% to 6.9333, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4369.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.11% at 100.16.
