Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.17% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which rose 2.78% or 10.0 points to trade at 370.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) added 2.50% or 7.1 points to end at 291.5 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 1.98% or 240 points to 12340 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which fell 1.88% or 11.0 points to trade at 574.0 at the close. Nets A/S (CO:NETS) declined 1.14% or 1.50 points to end at 129.90 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) was down 0.69% or 0.27 points to 39.03.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 79 to 44 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.98% or 240 to 12340.
Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.97% or 0.47 to $47.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.85% or 0.43 to hit $50.20 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.73% or 9.30 to trade at $1276.30 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.48% to 6.6021, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4396.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 96.72.
