Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 2.45% or 240 points to trade at 10020 at the close. Meanwhile, Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 2.44% or 21.5 points to end at 903.0 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 2.41% or 225 points to 9580 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK), which fell 1.98% or 6.6 points to trade at 326.6 at the close. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 0.58% or 0.22 points to end at 37.85 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 0.21% or 0.8 points to 391.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 109 to 33 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was up 3.00% or 1.51 to $51.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.46% or 1.27 to hit $52.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.59% or 7.45 to trade at $1270.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.15% to 6.7868, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4414.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 97.92.
