Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.71%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which rose 1.79% or 2.7 points to trade at 153.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) added 1.58% or 4.0 points to end at 257.5 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 1.36% or 3.3 points to 245.7 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were DSV (CO:DSV), which fell 0.67% or 2.2 points to trade at 327.8 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 0.25% or 30 points to end at 11830 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) was down 0.09% or 10 points to 11320.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 41 and 18 ended unchanged.
Shares in GN Store Nord (CO:GN) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.79% or 2.7 to 153.6.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.09% or 1.10 to $53.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.29% or 1.26 to hit $56.34 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.92% or 11.05 to trade at $1186.75 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.67% to 6.9649, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4369.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 100.57.
