Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.17% or 470 points to trade at 11750 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 3.20% or 350 points to end at 11300 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 2.36% or 13.0 points to 563.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CO:GEN), which fell 0.98% or 14.0 points to trade at 1413.0 at the close. ISS A/S (CO:ISS) declined 0.52% or 1.40 points to end at 267.90 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was down 0.46% or 1.1 points to 235.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 69 to 47 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.47% or 0.73 to $50.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.89% or 0.47 to hit $53.01 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.46% or 5.75 to trade at $1247.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.34% to 6.9355, while EUR/DKK fell 0.05% to 7.4372.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.23% at 100.01.
