Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 4.97% or 25.4 points to trade at 536.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) added 3.09% or 8.6 points to end at 286.8 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 1.84% or 11.2 points to 620.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which fell 2.41% or 6.8 points to trade at 275.6 at the close. Ambu A/S (CO:AMBUb) declined 1.57% or 2.5 points to end at 157.2 and Genmab (CO:GEN) was down 1.46% or 14.2 points to 960.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 65 to 61 and 22 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.97% or 25.4 to 536.4.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.69% or 1.40 to $53.39 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.62% or 1.57 to hit $61.38 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.36% or 4.75 to trade at $1307.85 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.04% to 6.5355, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4651.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 95.528.
