Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 2.86% or 290.00 points to trade at 10,435.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) added 2.16% or 20.20 points to end at 956.20 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 2.11% or 210.00 points to 10,160.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK), which fell 2.43% or 13.50 points to trade at 541.50 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) declined 2.18% or 4.25 points to end at 190.80 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was down 0.46% or 0.55 points to 119.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 74 to 70 and 14 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.51% or 0.40 to $78.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.37% or 0.31 to hit $83.47 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.05% or 1.20 to trade at $2,325.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.07% to 6.94, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 105.41.
