Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Personal & Household Goods, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.48% to hit a new 52-week high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 3.73% or 15.2 points to trade at 422.4 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 2.62% or 6.5 points to end at 254.2 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 2.40% or 11.6 points to 495.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which fell 0.47% or 1.4 points to trade at 296.6 at the close. Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) added 0.16% or 0.50 points to end at 308.10 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 0.24% or 1.0 points to 411.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 93 to 29 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 3.73% or 15.2 to 422.4. Shares in Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) rose to all time highs; gaining 0.16% or 0.50 to 308.10. Shares in Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) rose to all time highs; up 2.40% or 11.6 to 495.9. Shares in DSV (CO:DSV) rose to all time highs; up 0.24% or 1.0 to 411.0.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.78% or 0.35 to $44.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.70% or 0.33 to hit $47.04 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.54% or 6.74 to trade at $1249.76 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.31% to 6.6626, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4376.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 97.13.
