Investing.com – China stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Travel & Leisure, Real Estate Investments & Services and Technology Hardware & Equipment sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite added 1.89%, while the SZSE Component index added 2.87%.

The best performers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Tianjin Quanyechang Group Co Ltd (SS:600821), which rose 10.09% or 0.470 points to trade at 5.130 at the close. Meanwhile, Shanghai Fosun Pharmaceutical Group Co Ltd (SS:600196) added 10.01% or 3.060 points to end at 33.630 and Hunan Baili Engineering Sci & Tech Co Ltd (SS:603959) was up 10.00% or 1.400 points to 15.400 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Gangtai Holdin (SS:600687), which fell 10.07% or 0.540 points to trade at 4.820 at the close. Korla Pear (SS:600506) declined 9.96% or 1.180 points to end at 10.670 and Anxin Trust Co Ltd (SS:600816) was down 6.60% or 0.430 points to 6.090.

The top performers on the SZSE Component were Zhejiang Semir Garment Co Ltd (SZ:002563) which rose 10.00% to 11.77, Hualan Biological EngineeringInc (SZ:002007) which was up 10.00% to settle at 36.08 and Shandong Zhongji Electrical Equipment Co Ltd (SZ:300308) which gained 10.00% to close at 52.02.

The worst performers were Beijing Orient Landscape Co Ltd (SZ:002310) which was down 10.02% to 13.47 in late trade, Inner Mongolia Xingye Mining Co Ltd (SZ:000426) which lost 10.01% to settle at 6.47 and JPMF Guangdong Co Ltd (SZ:002600) which was down 9.20% to 3.16 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Shanghai Stock Exchange by 1379 to 47 and 18 ended unchanged.

Shares in Gangtai Holdin (SS:600687) fell to 3-years lows; falling 10.07% or 0.540 to 4.820. Shares in Korla Pear (SS:600506) fell to 3-years lows; losing 9.96% or 1.180 to 10.670. Shares in Anxin Trust Co Ltd (SS:600816) fell to 52-week lows; losing 6.60% or 0.430 to 6.090. Shares in Beijing Orient Landscape Co Ltd (SZ:002310) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.02% or 1.50 to 13.47. Shares in Inner Mongolia Xingye Mining Co Ltd (SZ:000426) fell to 52-week lows; down 10.01% or 0.72 to 6.47. Shares in JPMF Guangdong Co Ltd (SZ:002600) fell to 3-years lows; down 9.20% or 0.32 to 3.16.

The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was down 2.57% to 20.85.

Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.18% or 2.20 to $1211.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.33% or 0.23 to hit $68.49 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.12% or 0.09 to trade at $76.04 a barrel.

USD/CNY was up 0.12% to 6.8155, while EUR/CNY rose 0.02% to 7.9127.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 95.16.
