Investing.com – Brazil stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate, Financials and Electric Power sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa gained 0.62%.
The best performers of the session on the Bovespa were ALL America Latina Logistica SA (SA:RUMO3), which rose 7.16% or 0.24 points to trade at 3.59 at the close. Meanwhile, Localiza Rent a Car SA (SA:RENT3) added 3.94% or 1.11 points to end at 29.30 and Cia Energetica de Sao Paulo (SA:CESP6) was up 3.05% or 0.50 points to 16.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cia Siderurgica Nacional SA (SA:CSNA3), which fell 5.13% or 0.40 points to trade at 7.40 at the close. Natura Cosmeticos SA (SA:NATU3) declined 2.99% or 0.86 points to end at 27.91 and Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (SA:SUZB5) was down 2.70% or 0.37 points to 13.35.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Sao Paulo Stock Exchange by 182 to 106 and 29 ended unchanged.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 4.19% to 52.20.
Gold for June delivery was up 1.83% or 22.40 to $1244.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May fell 2.31% or 0.91 to hit $38.48 a barrel, while the May US coffee C contract fell 0.74% or 0.95 to trade at $127.55 .
USD/BRL was up 0.10% to 3.6358, while EUR/BRL rose 0.17% to 4.1089.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.88% at 95.15.
