Aldeyra Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:ALDX) 5% HIGHER; announced the achievement of the primary endpoints in a sequence-randomized, double-masked, vehicle-controlled crossover clinical trial of 0.25% reproxalap ophthalmic solution, an investigational new drug candidate, for the treatment of dry eye disease. Reproxalap was statistically superior to vehicle for each of the two prespecified primary endpoints, ocular redness in a dry eye chamber (P=0.0004) and Schirmer test (P=0.0005), a measure of tear production, after a single day of dosing. The secondary endpoint of Schirmer test 10 mm responder analysis, which was multiplicity-controlled, was also achieved (P=0.0361).

PepsiCo (NASDAQ:PEP) 1% HIGHER; reported Q2 EPS of $1.86, $0.12 better than the analyst estimate of $1.74. Revenue for the quarter came in at $20.23 billion versus the consensus estimate of $19.51 billion. PepsiCo sees FY2022 EPS of $6.63, versus the consensus of $6.66. The company now expects to deliver 10 percent organic revenue growth (versus our previous guidance of 8 percent) for fiscal year 2022.
