Wall Street rises as materials and crypto stocks offset continued bond sell-off
Investing.com -- French information technology consultancy Capgemini SE raised its full-year 2026 revenue growth forecast on Thursday after reporting first-half revenue of €12.08 billion, above the average estimate of €12.01 billion from S&P Global Visible Alpha, helped by contributions from acquisitions including WNS and Cloud4C, completed in the fourth quarter of 2025.
The company raised its 2026 constant-currency revenue growth target to 8.5%-9% from 6.5%-8.5%. It kept its operating margin target at 13.6%-13.8% and its organic free cash flow target at around €1.8 billion-€1.9 billion.
Revenue rose 8.8% year-on-year on a reported basis and 11.3% at constant exchange rates.
Operating profit fell to €878 million from €976 million a year earlier, below the average Visible Alpha estimate of €946 million, after the company booked higher restructuring charges related to its Fit-for-Growth initiatives announced in February 2026.
Net profit attributable to shareholders fell 31.3% to €498 million, missing the average estimate of €616 million, reflecting higher restructuring charges, a net financial expense of €65 million compared with net financial income of €16 million a year earlier, and a higher effective tax rate of 37.5%, up from 26.2% in the first half of 2025.
Diluted earnings per share fell to €2.85 from €4.11, below the consensus estimate of €3.52.
Organic free cash flow was €37 million, down from €60 million a year earlier, but exceeded the average estimate for an outflow of €43 million.
Net cash generated from operating activities rose to €357 million, above the average estimate of €340 million.
Net debt widened to €6.45 billion at the end of June from €5.31 billion at the end of December 2025, exceeding the average estimate of €6.19 billion, after the company paid €570 million in dividends and spent €315 million on share buybacks during the first half.
Chief Executive Officer Aiman Ezzat said the company had "achieved solid growth, slightly ahead of expectations, while continuing to outperform the market."
Total headcount stood at 417,600 at the end of June, up 20% year-on-year, primarily reflecting the integration of WNS employees.
