SVB Financial Group just filed for Chapter 11. However, SVB Securities' and SVB Capital's funds and general partner entities are not included in the Chapter 11 filing and continue to operate as usual. So what does that mean for SVB Financial Group shareholders? Obviously there is something left, if part of it is not filing for Chapter 11 and still operating. Any thoughts?

It is complicated. Silicon Valley Bank is no longer part of SVB Financial Group. SVB Financial Group filed for Chapter 11. However, SVB Capital and SVB Securities are two seperate legal entities and are not part of Chapter 11. But SVB Financial Group owns the equity of SVB Capital and SVB Securities. So I wonder what this means for shareholers.

These two are the best articles that I find explaining what might happen to SIVB shareholders: https://investorplace.com/2023/03/so-you-hold-sivb-stock-now-what/ & https://pennystocks.com/featured/2023/03/10/will-svb-financial-group-sivb-be-on-your-list-of-penny-stocks-in-2023/
