Still needs research efforts to reduce the construction cost, the price of one SMR is sky high ($120 per MWh).

It's small (in fact it can be moved on a truck from one location to another), it's modular (you can get some 900 Megawatts electric power if you 'link' several of them together, and they are nuclear (hence a relatively very small volume of fuel). And you get one hell of a mobile power source which can evade Putin's cross hairs. Compare such a SMR with the fat sitting ducks which are the classical power plants of thousands of Megawatts. So beyond whatever financial performance ratios, the SMRs are of a different narrative. They belong to a new, disruptive paradigm.
