MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c. provides insurance services to individuals and businesses in Malta. It operates through Motor, Fire and Other Property Damages, Health, Other Classes, and Group Life insurance segments. The company offers motor, home, travel, health, boat, pet, and life insurance products. It also provides business insurance products, including accidental damage, fire and peril, hoteliers combined, theft, goods in transit, money, fidelity guarantee, group personal accident, travel open cover, products and public liability, tool of trade, employer’s liability, directors and officers liability, electronic equipment, machinery breakdown, contractors all risks, contractors plan all risks, and marine cargo insurance policies. In addition, the company offers insurance for small and medium enterprises; professional indemnity insurance products to professionals, such as accountants and auditors, lawyers and notaries, architects and civil engineers, electrical and mechanical engineers, and medical practitioners; and workplace pensions, as well as group health, life, and personal health insurance. Further, it provides insurance management services and business protection plans. The company was formerly known as Middlesea Insurance p.l.c. and changed its name to MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c. in May 2015. MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c. was incorporated in 1981 and is headquartered in Floriana, Malta. MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c. operates as a subsidiary of MAPFRE Internacional S.A.
