Haycarb PLC, together with its subsidiaries, manufactures and markets coconut shell activated carbon in Sri Lanka, Thailand, Europe, the United States, Indonesia, and Australia. It operates through two segments: Activated Carbon and Environmental Engineering. The Activated Carbon segment operates in renewable and potable water, industrial water treatment, industrial air and gas treatment, personal protection, solvent recovery, precious metal, food and beverage, automotive, energy storage, nuclear, cigarette filters, medical and pharmaceutical, chemical, and catalyst support sectors. The Environmental Engineering segment is involved in water and wastewater purification, hydrocove water purifiers, value added activated carbon products, and Dupont filmtech RO, UF and NF membrane business, as well as engages in the provision of operation and maintenance services. The company was incorporated in 1973 and is headquartered in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Haycarb PLC operates as a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC.
