EMC Instytut Medyczny SA is a Poland-based company that operates a network of private hospitals and health centers in Poland and in Ireland. The Company offers a range of services, including the professional treatment of obesity, hernia, knee surgery, hip replacement and various plastic surgeries. It also provides such diagnostic services as laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging (X-ray and ultrasonography), colonoscopy, gastroscopy and capsule endoscopy, as well as consultancy services with a range of specialists. In addition, it provides the prophylaxis programs. The Company operates hospitals and outpatient specialty and care clinics. It operates such subsidiaries as: Lubmed Sp z o o, Mikulicz Sp z o o, EMC Silesia Sp z o o, PCZ Kowary Sp z o o and EMC Health Care Limited, among others. On January 3, 2014, CareUp BV acquired 68.41% stake in the Company due to the acquisition of Soporto Invest BV. On February 11, 2014, the Company acquired Regionalne Centrum Zdrowia Sp z o o.
