BMMI B.S.C., together with its subsidiaries, is involved in the wholesale and retail of food, beverages, and other consumable items. It operates in five segments: Retail Operations; Wholesales Operations; Contract Services and Supply; Hospitality; and Investments, Shipping and Other Activities. The company sells beverages to hotels, restaurants, clubs, and other licensed outlets; distributes food and household goods of various brands; and produces and sells ready-made foods, including sandwiches, packaged fruits, baked goods, sushi and sashimi, and fully cooked meals, as well as European, Arabic, and fusion style salads to coffee shops, supermarkets, schools, and offices. In addition, it operates Downtown Rotana, a five-star hotel; and provides remote site and facilities management services, camps and temporary structures, rations supply, technical sourcing and supply, and contract logistics and services. Further, the company offers supply chain, warehousing, and distribution services; provides shipping services, such as marine, cargo, relocation, liner, surveying, and government services; and owns and operates Alosra supermarket, as well as operates restaurants. Additionally, it provides catering and housekeeping services. It operates in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Iraq, the United States, Djibouti, Mali, South Sudan, Sudan, and Kenya. The company was founded in 1883 and is headquartered in Seef, the Kingdom of Bahrain.
