Astellas Institute for Regenerative Medicine was formerly known as Ocata Therapeutics, Inc. and changed its name to Astellas Institute for Regenerative Medicine in May 2016 as a result of acquisition by Astellas US Holding, Inc. The company was founded in 1994 and is headquartered in Marlborough, Massachusetts. As of February 9, 2016, Astellas Institute for Regenerative Medicine operates as a subsidiary of Astellas US Holding, Inc.
