Nonfarm Payrolls measures the change in the number of people employed during the previous month, excluding the farming industry. Job creation is the foremost indicator of consumer spending, which accounts for the majority of economic activity.

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD.

Hi guys, I was wondering if someone could help me out..I am interested in determining the direction (greater than or less than expected) of the NFP, not 'predicting' a specific number...How useful is the ADP at predicting the NFP?..What other economic indicators should I look out for?..someone told me to look at the US 10 Year yield curve, how is this of use?...Thanks
