Fundamentals:
The euro slipped against the dollar last Friday after two month losing streak after the U.S. nonfarm payroll report showed 132,000 new jobs were added in November after a revised gain of 79,000 a month earlier, against the forecast of an 110,000 increase. Investors are expecting Fed to keep its benchmark rate unchanged at 5.25 percent this Tuesday. ECB increased rates last week for a fifth time this year, to 3.5 percent, and President Trichet signaled the pace of further moves may slow on easing inflation. The euro may trim its losses against the dollar on speculation a ZEW survey due on Tuesday will show German investor confidence rebounded from a 13-year low of minus 28.5 last month to minus 25 this month according to forecast.
