It was a very big day on Wall Street on Monday. A lot of our stocks ran. The market itself had a strong session. The technicals look good. Not great, but it was another up-day. Biotech’s led the way. There’s a lot of them, so we’ll look at some of them here.
Esperion Therapeutics (NASDAQ:ESPR) continues to be absolutely incredible. On Monday, it was up 2.71 to 7710 or 3.6%, on 548,300 shares traded. It has the perfect textbook, 45-degree angle. There were wedges and flags all the way up the channel, and it’s in another little wedge. This stock looks like it can reach 85-6 short term.
GW Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:GWPH) is looking good. It was up 48 cents to 18.97, or 2.6%, on 1.2 million shares on Monday. It had a spectacular breakout on Friday, followed through on Monday, taking out the August high, and may very well be headed up towards the 110-112 zone on a short-term basis.
Paycom Software (NYSE:PAYC), one of our swing trades, has been stalling for a couple weeks now, up 55 cents to 31.95, or 1.75%, on 428,755. It held support, trendline, and moving averages. The stop needs to be under 29. The entire consolidation if it breaks could get it into the mid 30’s, and eventually the mid 40’s.
TravelCenters of America LLC (NYSE:TA), which broke out of its consolidation on Friday, followed through on Monday, up nearly a dollar at 98 cents to 15.71, or 6.55%, on 931,200 shares traded. Looking at the long-term chart, a major, 4-year resistance level was not only broken, but retested, and now it’s moving up. The target is 17 short term, and on an intermediate basis look for the target to be 24-5. It could be spectacular. Long-term, it looks like important moves may be underway. Keep an eye on it the next couple days.
