The week’s biggest mover on the Renewables MMI® was the price of Chinese steel plate, which saw a 4.5 percent increase. This week marked the third in a row of rising prices for the metal.
The week finished with no movement for Chinese cobalt cathodes. Silicon traded sideways last week, hovering above $2,000 per metric ton. Prices for neodymium remained constant as well on MetalMiner’s daily metal pricing service.
Japanese steel plate prices held steady from the previous week. Korean steel plate remained essentially flat. Meanwhile, the price of US steel plate increased by a slight 1.1 percent over the past week.
The price of US grain-oriented electrical steel (GOES) fell 7.1 percent this month.
