About 0.6 million shares exchanged hands in the last trading session and the stock finally closed at $27.78. The company’s return on equity has been an impressive at 11.2% when compared with the industry average of 10.4%.

Brown & Brown's bottom line of 33 cents outpaced the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 13.8% and improved year over year on solid organic revenue growth, higher commissions and fees as well as low tax incidence.
