Earning Report

Best Buy Co Inc
(NYSE:BBY

Best Buy is set to report earnings for its second fiscal quarter of the year on Tuesday before the market opens. Contributing analysts on Estimize are expecting Best Buy to beat the Wall Street consensus for the 7th consecutive quarter. While earnings per share are expected to increase by a penny, the Estimize community predicts that revenue will slide by 3% compared to the same quarter of last year.

Williams-Sonoma Inc (NYSE:WSM)

Williams-Sonoma has beaten the Wall Street earnings consensus in each quarter over the previous 2 years. The Estimize community is looking for Williams-Sonoma to breeze past the Street’s profit and sales consensus again on Wednesday. Of all the large companies reporting earnings this week, the Estimize community has the highest expectations relative to Wall Street for Williams-Sonoma.

Workday Inc (NYSE:WDAY

Contributing analysts on Estimize are forecasting that Workday will report an FQ2 loss of 12 cents per share, a penny better than last year. While the bottom line is predicted to come in roughly flat, sales are expected to rise by 73%, a high rate of growth which is consistent with the company’s past 4 earnings reports.

Dollar General Corporation (NYSE:DG)

Last Thursday Dollar General had its $8.9 billion takeover offer rejected by rival Family Dollar. Contributing analysts on Estimize are expecting Dollar General to miss the Wall Street sales consensus on Thursday while earnings and revenue both rise by about 8%. The Estimize community is not expecting much of a difference between Dollar General’s report and the Wall Street consensus. Look for management to offer some commentary around their latest failed takeover bid to acquire Family Dollar.

Abercrombie & Fitch Company (NYSE:ANF)

Earnings at Abercrombie & Fitch are expected to fall on a year over year basis for the sixth straight quarter on Thursday. The Estimize community is predicting that FQ2 earnings will fall from 16 cents last year to just 10 cents this period. The community also believes that Abercrombie will come up short on the top line, missing the Wall Street revenue consensus by $8 million, or almost 1%.
