Investing.com – Spain stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Building & Construction, Financial Services & Real Estate and Telecoms & IT sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Madrid, the IBEX 35 added 0.85%.
The best performers of the session on the IBEX 35 were Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy SA (MC:GAM), which rose 3.84% or 0.470 points to trade at 12.725 at the close. Meanwhile, Mediaset ESP (MC:TL5) added 2.25% or 0.144 points to end at 6.538 and Acciona (MC:ANA) was up 1.76% or 1.260 points to 72.880 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inmobiliaria Colonial SA (MC:COL), which fell 0.38% or 0.035 points to trade at 9.120 at the close. Indra A (MC:IDR) declined 0.37% or 0.040 points to end at 10.640 and Acerinox (MC:ACX) was down 0.17% or 0.020 points to 12.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Madrid Stock Exchange by 127 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.18% or 2.20 to $1196.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.05% or 0.69 to hit $66.11 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.64% or 0.46 to trade at $72.67 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.51% to 1.1540, while EUR/GBP fell 0.07% to 0.8966.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 95.36.
