Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance, Energy & Utilities and Cement sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Middle East Paper Co (SE:1202), which rose 6.87% or 1.51 points to trade at 23.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230) added 5.25% or 3.89 points to end at 78.00 and Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (SE:4001) was up 4.51% or 6.00 points to 139.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Malath Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8020), which fell 4.48% or 0.86 points to trade at 18.32 at the close. Taleem REIT Fund (SE:4333) declined 3.80% or 0.43 points to end at 10.90 and Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040) was down 3.67% or 0.220 points to 5.780.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange by 89 to 88 and 9 ended unchanged.
Shares in Middle East Paper Co (SE:1202) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 6.87% or 1.51 to 23.50. Shares in Al-Rajhi Cooperative Insurance (SE:8230) rose to all time highs; up 5.25% or 3.89 to 78.00. Shares in Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company (SE:4001) rose to all time highs; rising 4.51% or 6.00 to 139.00. Shares in Etihad Atheeb Telecommunication (SE:7040) fell to 3-years lows; down 3.67% or 0.220 to 5.780.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.69% or 0.41 to $58.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.40% or 0.25 to hit $62.34 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.50 to trade at $1328.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.35% to 4.6262, while USD/SAR rose 0.01% to 3.7509.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.33% at 89.71.
