White House says Trump fired State Dept. watchdog at Pompeo's request

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump fired the State Department's inspector general following a recommendation by U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, the White House said on Saturday.

"Secretary Pompeo recommended the move, and President Trump agreed,” a White House official said after two top Democrats announced a probe into the Republican president's Friday night firing of the department's internal watchdog, Steve Linick.

All that matters is what Trump does. With the few months left to do the RIGHT THING and build a stronger USA for his successor Trump should not weaken a foundation that is set up to keep executive overreach in check and leaves a trail for ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY. It doesn't matter what Trump says, really. I dunno who still believes in (and votes for)  a patholo gical l ia r who ab uses wo men and ch ea ts on his wif e while she is preg nant. As a prez he is supposed to do the RIGHT THING as measured by the clear thinking majority. Shrug my shoulders.
I believe President Trump. I also believe Democrats is playing politics since Russia Gate, not surprised at all.
