Investing.com – United Arab Emirates stocks were lower after the close on Sunday, as losses in the Finance & Investment, Real Estate & Construction and Insurance sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Dubai, the DFM General fell 3.00% to hit a new 6-months low, while the ADX General index declined 1.62%.
The best performers of the session on the DFM General were Commercial Bank of Dubai P.S.C. (DU:CBD), which rose 13.60% or 0.850 points to trade at 7.100 at the close. Meanwhile, ARAMEX PJSC (DU:ARMX) added 2.19% or 0.070 points to end at 3.270 and Amanat Holdings PJSC (DU:AMANT) was up 0.65% or 0.005 points to 0.774 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dubai Islamic Insurance Co. (DU:AMAN), which fell 10.00% or 0.067 points to trade at 0.603 at the close. Arabtec Holding PJSC (DU:ARTC) declined 8.22% or 0.120 points to end at 1.340 and Dubai Investments PJSC (DU:DINV) was down 5.83% or 0.130 points to 2.100.
The top performers on the ADX General were Arkan Bld Mt C (AD:ARKN) which rose 8.43% to 0.90, Ad Shipbldg Co (AD:ADSB) which was up 0.36% to settle at 2.80 and Emirates Ins C (AD:EIC) which unchanged 0.00% to close at 6.72.
The worst performers were Invest Bank AD (AD:INVB) which was down 6.67% to 2.10 in late trade, Methaq (AD:METH) which lost 6.10% to settle at 0.770 and Aldar Properti (AD:ALDR) which was down 5.79% to 2.28 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Dubai Stock Exchange by 24 to 3; on the Abu Dhabi Stock Exchange, 19 fell and 2 advanced, while 2 ended unchanged.

Shares in Emirates Ins C (AD:EIC) unchanged to 52-week lows; unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to 6.72.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 1.46% or 0.66 to $44.54 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $48.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.39% or 15.30 to trade at $1088.90 a troy ounce.
USD/AED was down 0.01% to 3.6728, while EUR/AED fell 1.30% to 3.9438.
The US Dollar Index was up 1.23% at 99.29.
