Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Information Technology, Banking and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.49%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Global Yat. Holding (IS:GLYHO), which rose 7.20% or 0.180 points to trade at 2.680 at the close. Meanwhile, Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME) added 6.22% or 0.130 points to end at 2.220 and Nurol Gmyo (IS:NUGYO) was up 5.21% or 0.220 points to 4.440 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which fell 2.70% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.360 at the close. Garanti Bankasi (IS:GARAN) declined 2.55% or 0.23 points to end at 8.79 and Tumosan Motor Ve Traktor (IS:TMSN) was down 2.54% or 0.210 points to 8.060.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 237 to 129 and 41 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.33% or 4.15 to $1234.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 1.36% or 0.74 to hit $53.59 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.55% or 0.88 to trade at $55.78 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.71% to 3.5946, while EUR/TRY fell 0.69% to 3.7895.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.01% at 101.46.
