Investing.com – Turkey stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Holdings & Investments, Banking and Electricity sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Afyon Cimento (IS:AFYON), which rose 4.26% or 0.33 points to trade at 8.07 at the close. Meanwhile, Aselsan (IS:ASELS) added 3.85% or 0.44 points to end at 11.88 and Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA) was up 3.52% or 0.26 points to 7.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 3.57% or 0.58 points to trade at 15.67 at the close. Izmir Demir Celik (IS:IZMDC) declined 3.33% or 0.090 points to end at 2.610 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) was down 2.49% or 0.060 points to 2.350.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 194 to 148 and 64 ended unchanged.
Shares in Aselsan (IS:ASELS) rose to all time highs; up 3.85% or 0.44 to 11.88.
Gold for February delivery was up 0.08% or 0.95 to $1130.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.57% or 0.80 to hit $51.70 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 1.72% or 0.93 to trade at $54.95 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.14% to 3.5071, while EUR/TRY fell 0.13% to 3.6532.
The US Dollar Index was unchanged 0.00% at 103.15.
