Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring, Textile & Leather and Electricity sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 gained 0.97%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Park Elek. Madencilik (IS:PRKME), which rose 19.59% or 0.380 points to trade at 2.320 at the close. Meanwhile, Metro Holding (IS:METRO) added 7.14% or 0.060 points to end at 0.900 and Izmir Demir Celik (IS:IZMDC) was up 5.86% or 0.160 points to 2.890 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 2.36% or 0.42 points to trade at 17.41 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) declined 1.75% or 0.040 points to end at 2.240 and Logo Yazilim (IS:LOGO) was down 1.52% or 0.800 points to 51.750.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 249 to 94 and 65 ended unchanged.
Shares in Metro Holding (IS:METRO) rose to 52-week highs; up 7.14% or 0.060 to 0.900.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.23% or 2.95 to $1254.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.57% or 0.29 to hit $50.15 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.46% or 0.24 to trade at $51.79 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.14% to 3.0896, while EUR/TRY fell 0.52% to 3.3967.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 97.95.
