Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food & Beverages, Textile & Leather and Holdings & Investments sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL), which rose 14.55% or 0.780 points to trade at 6.140 at the close. Meanwhile, Izmir Demir Celik (IS:IZMDC) added 6.94% or 0.170 points to end at 2.620 and Aksa (IS:AKSA) was up 3.48% or 0.27 points to 8.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ege Endustri (IS:EGEEN), which fell 2.16% or 5.50 points to trade at 249.50 at the close. AK Enerji (IS:AKENR) declined 2.13% or 0.020 points to end at 0.920 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret D (IS:KRDMD) was down 2.11% or 0.030 points to 1.390.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 199 to 146 and 60 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.38% or 5.15 to $1348.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.58% or 1.15 to hit $45.64 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 2.51% or 1.18 to trade at $48.15 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.56% to 2.9418, while EUR/TRY fell 0.31% to 3.2952.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 95.47.
