Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Telecoms, Insurance and Information Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS), which rose 15.22% or 0.070 points to trade at 0.530 at the close. Meanwhile, Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 6.64% or 0.290 points to end at 4.660 and Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) was up 4.91% or 0.160 points to 3.420 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tesco Kipa Kitle Pazarlama Ticaret Lojistik ve Gida Sanayi AS (IS:KIPA), which fell 3.32% or 0.110 points to trade at 3.200 at the close. Kordsa Global Endustriyel Iplik ve Kord Bezi Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KORDS) declined 1.51% or 0.13 points to end at 8.49 and Kardemir Karabuk Demir Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS Class D (IS:KRDMD) was down 1.44% or 0.030 points to 2.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 209 to 145 and 55 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) rose to 52-week highs; rising 15.22% or 0.070 to 0.530. Shares in Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) rose to 52-week highs; up 6.64% or 0.290 to 4.660. Shares in Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.91% or 0.160 to 3.420.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.28% or 3.56 to $1248.54 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.63% or 0.78 to hit $48.67 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.39% or 0.70 to trade at $50.90 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.60% to 3.5513, while EUR/TRY fell 0.70% to 4.1330.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.09% at 94.00.
