Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the , Cement and Other Electronic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted declined 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Paragon Tech (TW:3518), which rose 9.95% or 1.90 points to trade at 21.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Bizlink (TW:3665) added 9.90% or 20.00 points to end at 222.00 and Crowell (TW:2528) was up 9.90% or 0.86 points to 9.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pihsiang (TW:1729), which fell 9.90% or 2.60 points to trade at 23.65 at the close. Genius (TW:3406) declined 7.99% or 27.00 points to end at 311.00 and Cx Tech (TW:2415) was down 7.31% or 2.20 points to 27.90.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 409 to 365 and 105 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pihsiang (TW:1729) fell to all time lows; falling 9.90% or 2.60 to 23.65. Shares in Bizlink (TW:3665) rose to all time highs; rising 9.90% or 20.00 to 222.00.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.40% or 0.19 to $48.02 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.41% or 0.21 to hit $50.98 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 3.66 to trade at $1227.86 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.12% to 30.169, while TWD/CNY rose 0.04% to 0.2289.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 99.48.
