Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Auto, Textile and Hotels sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted rose 0.12%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Calin (TW:4976), which rose 9.97% or 3.60 points to trade at 39.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Tung Kai Tech (TW:3018) added 9.94% or 3.95 points to end at 43.70 and King Core (TW:6155) was up 9.86% or 2.10 points to 23.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tri Ocean Text (TW:1472), which fell 8.67% or 1.30 points to trade at 13.70 at the close. Sintronic Tech (TW:3536) declined 5.13% or 1.25 points to end at 23.10 and Tpk Holding (TW:3673) was down 4.85% or 5.50 points to 108.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 374 to 374 and 127 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was up 1.02% or 0.50 to $49.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July rose 0.93% or 0.48 to hit $52.30 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.18 to trade at $1267.08 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was up 0.19% to 30.219, while TWD/CNY rose 0.04% to 0.2282.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 99.00.
