Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.70%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 0.85% or 2.5 points to trade at 297.0 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) added 0.29% or 1.5 points to end at 511.5 and Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs) was down 0.46% or 0.8 points to 173.1 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 3.37% or 0.74 points to trade at 21.25 at the close. Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) declined 3.23% or 3.2 points to end at 95.8 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) was down 3.19% or 2.30 points to 69.80.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 432 to 153 and 43 ended unchanged.
Shares in Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) fell to 52-week lows; falling 3.23% or 3.2 to 95.8. Shares in Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.19% or 2.30 to 69.80.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 4.49% or 2.20 to $46.79 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 4.25% or 2.13 to hit $47.97 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.05% or 14.05 to trade at $1353.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.61% to 9.4467, while USD/SEK rose 1.34% to 8.5321.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 96.23.
