Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Financials, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.81% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb), which rose 1.44% or 3.6 points to trade at 253.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Atlas Copco AB ser. A (ST:ATCOa) added 1.43% or 4.0 points to end at 283.2 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 1.16% or 1.25 points to 108.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which fell 3.67% or 8.2 points to trade at 215.1 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 3.30% or 3.40 points to end at 99.60 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was down 3.30% or 4.2 points to 123.1.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 381 to 227 and 66 ended unchanged.
Shares in Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.16% or 1.25 to 108.75.
Crude oil for February delivery was down 3.09% or 1.67 to $52.32 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 3.06% or 1.75 to hit $55.35 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.85% or 9.95 to trade at $1183.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.15% to 9.5663, while USD/SEK fell 0.16% to 9.0490.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 101.95.
