Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 5.40% or 24.20 points to trade at 472.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 0.22% or 0.20 points to end at 89.10 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was up 0.07% or 0.10 points to 137.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which fell 2.92% or 4.0 points to trade at 132.9 at the close. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) declined 2.25% or 1.11 points to end at 48.23 and Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) was down 2.25% or 3.10 points to 134.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 269 to 265 and 63 ended unchanged.
Shares in Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.25% or 1.11 to 48.23.
Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.89% or 0.34 to $38.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.20% or 0.48 to hit $40.53 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.70% or 8.60 to trade at $1237.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.05% to 9.2214, while USD/SEK fell 0.39% to 8.0988.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 94.54.
