Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA), which rose 0.44% or 0.16 points to trade at 36.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 0.33% or 0.8 points to end at 243.0 and Svenska Handelsbanken AB A (ST:SHBa) was up 0.24% or 0.3 points to 125.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which fell 31.75% or 16.00 points to trade at 34.40 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 3.75% or 1.42 points to end at 36.42 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was down 2.60% or 7.10 points to 266.20.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 512 to 188 and 60 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb) fell to 52-week lows; falling 31.75% or 16.00 to 34.40.
Crude oil for May delivery was down 1.23% or 0.60 to $48.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.99% or 0.51 to hit $51.11 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.87% or 10.70 to trade at $1244.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.32% to 9.5048, while USD/SEK fell 0.38% to 8.7887.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.67% at 99.49.
