Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Consumer Services, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.77%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were ABB Ltd (ST:ABB), which rose 2.03% or 3.1 points to trade at 155.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 0.95% or 1.30 points to end at 137.80 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) was up 0.73% or 1.5 points to 208.2 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which fell 2.34% or 0.63 points to trade at 26.27 at the close. Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) declined 1.86% or 3.40 points to end at 179.20 and Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) was down 1.86% or 5.3 points to 279.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 290 to 244 and 56 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for April delivery was up 4.10% or 1.49 to $37.83 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.94% or 1.14 to hit $39.88 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.10 to trade at $1229.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.19% to 9.2193, while USD/SEK rose 0.01% to 8.3168.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 96.88.
