Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 1.89% or 2.5 points to trade at 135.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) added 0.91% or 0.88 points to end at 97.53 and ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) was up 0.85% or 1.6 points to 189.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which fell 2.20% or 3.30 points to trade at 146.90 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.11% or 0.54 points to end at 25.08 and Telia Company AB (ST:TELIA) was down 1.41% or 0.54 points to 37.73.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 341 to 249 and 58 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 2.89% or 1.34 to $44.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 2.38% or 1.15 to hit $47.17 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.16% or 2.15 to trade at $1327.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.43% to 9.5680, while USD/SEK rose 0.35% to 8.5099.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 95.35.
