Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Technology, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA), which rose 2.10% or 2.7 points to trade at 131.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 1.20% or 1.90 points to end at 160.00 and Sandvik AB (ST:SAND) was up 1.09% or 0.90 points to 83.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Getinge AB ser. B (ST:GETIBs), which fell 2.10% or 3.7 points to trade at 172.8 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA) declined 1.36% or 1.10 points to end at 79.80 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) was down 1.33% or 0.84 points to 62.51.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 322 to 242 and 53 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) rose to 3-years highs; up 1.20% or 1.90 to 160.00.
Crude oil for July delivery was up 1.55% or 0.78 to $51.14 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 1.81% or 0.93 to hit $52.37 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.32% or 16.40 to trade at $1263.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.16% to 9.2468, while USD/SEK fell 0.17% to 8.1139.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.33% at 93.53.
